Thank you so much to everyone at Doxford Barns for helping us have the perfect wedding day on Saturday. It was great to have so many family and friends staying in the cottages onsite for the whole weekend. The food was superb, Michael from The Plough did a fantastic job. The sun finally came out in the afternoon and we got some gorgeous snaps down by the lake and in the fields. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were just great throughout. Thank you all so much from a very happy Mr and Mrs Pearson!

Thank you so much for all you did for us to make our day so perfect. You really went above and beyond to ensure all our guests were happy and cared for, and that Peter and I were well looked after. The venue was absolutely incredible, especially the ceremony in the Threshing Hall! We really appreciated your laid-back nature and how welcoming you were to my family and ourselves and to how you let us relax and set up the place beforehand. You are all doing an amazing job.

We want to say such a big thank you to you and your team for making our wedding so special. We had such a fantastic day – and so did our guests. We loved the rustic beauty of the barn, and the stunning countryside surrounding it. Arriving on the tractor was a brilliant moment of the day which everyone loved – along with the ice-cream and Pimms! The food was incredible, and all of the staff were so friendly, helpful and fun.  Staying in the cottages over the weekend also made the whole place feel like home which is something we’d really hoped for, so thank you.

Screen Shot 2015-09-30 at 14.54.14 A fantastic weekend spent at Doxford Barns and Cottages for the wedding of Andrea and Alan Pearson. From the time we arrived on Friday morning until leaving on Monday morning the staff were more than helpful and turned the event into a very special occasion that we will never forget. Heartfelt thanks to the Plough in Alnwick for the excellent wedding breakfast and to Richard and his team for a breakfast the following morning that was beyond our expectations!

Wow, what a place to get married. The Threshing Hall was so beautiful for the ceremony and the Great Barn was perfect for a lively ceilidh. Great food, delicious real ale (of our choosing!), gorgeous setting and nothing was too much trouble for Richard and the team. If you want a barn wedding in Northumberland, this is the place.

The cottages have comfy sitting rooms with wood burning stoves, fully equipped kitchens (one with Aga) as well as tastefully appointed bathrooms. In total all 7 cottages can sleep up to 40 people. To maintain exclusive use of the farm, we ask that the accommodation is booked with the venue.
